World Savvy supports the design of a future-ready graduate profile that centers global competence and guides the work of everyone inside a district—students, educators, school leaders, and families/caregivers—so that all students develop the skills and dispositions they need to thrive in a diverse, complex, and ever-changing world. Every school community is different, and World Savvy’s approach incorporates all stakeholder voices so that the end product feels authentic and connected to the lived experiences of everyone.

Phase 1: Community Engagement
Define Future-Ready Education
Explore how to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world by defining and integrating global competence within your schools. In phase 1, we will:
- Conduct surveys and listening sessions to gather feedback
- Give community members a voice in defining what it means to be a graduate of their district
- Identify essential skills and practices students need for success
- Elevate positive work happening in a district and how to build upon it
- Foster support for a collaborative vision to develop student success
- Address concerns of stakeholders involved in the process
Phase 2: Data and Drafting
Analyze and Review Data
World Savvy will elevate top priorities, identify trends, and create a draft of your graduate profile that represents the ideas and feedback of the school community. In phase 2, we will:
- Review information from listening sessions and surveys
- Analyze data and identify themes to elevate priorities
- Deep dive into the district’s mission and vision
- Align on the skills and dispositions every student in the district should have
- Create a working draft of a graduate profile
- Plan backward: If this is what a graduate looks like, what is the K-12 experience that will create this person?
Phase 3: Design
Your Completed Graduate Profile
After our learning sessions, World Savvy will:
- Design a graduate profile with two rounds of feedback from the participating district
- Provide a finalized graduate profile, including files for a poster, a flyer, and a digital graphic
Participants Walk Away With
After completing our Profile of a Graduate work, districts emerge with a graduate profile that guides the mission and vision of their school community. World Savvy also offers additional partnership opportunities to help districts implement their new graduate profile.

What is Global Competence?
Global competence refers to the skills, values, and behaviors that empower individuals to navigate and thrive in a diverse, complex, and ever-changing world. It prepares everyone to be responsible citizens—locally and globally—creative problem solvers, and active participants in a fast-changing, interconnected economy.
A partnership with World Savvy provides multiple supports, including coaching and frameworks that educators need to transform their classrooms and embed global competence into teaching, learning, and school culture—to create future-ready schools where students develop the skills and dispositions they need for success—now and in the future.
